Content marketing in business: All you need to know and how to use.

Content marketing is the techinque of broadcasting and communicating via content.content is the information and experiences that are directed towards an end-user or audience.
According to Wikipedia, Content is something that is to be expressed through some medium, as speech, writing or any of various arts
In our day-to-day life, we make use of content either to communicate our feelings, opinions ,ideas etc. There is no special things attached to content when they are used in business, advertisement etc.
The sole aim of a content marketing is to create awareness, create sales/funnels or a call to action for your audience.
Let me go further by using am example to illustrate what I mean;
A young man had walked up to a lady he has not met before to ask for her hand in marriage on a broad daylight on the street of Oshodi. You won’t believe what happened next!
The lady jerked at him, “Are you for real? You must be crazy or high on something!” The guy said, “No! I’m not mad, but I’m madly in love with you. I want to marry you.”
Then the lady slapped him and started calling for the attention of people passing that the guy is harassing her.
If you were the lady, won’t you do the same Or worse?

We harass our prospects!
We try to communicate our products to them as if we've known them for long
Like we rightly mentioned, they will walk away from us with a corrupt notion.


Here is another example:

An anonymous person who you cannot remember giving your contact, sends you a message via WhatsApp informing that he/she has an opportunity that can generate for you income and all that.  For Christ sake, you are wondering, "who is this fraudster (this is rampant in Nigeria)" you don't just feel secure with such approach so you either block or call the person a scammer.  In the scene the content was not properly marketed.
Content marketing is all about approach in conveying a message. Your approach should be inviting, welcoming and enticing  in such a way that it encourages your audience to take action.
A content is tagged a Killer Content if it is passing across an information that gets the expected response from prospects, audience and customers.




What are the different forms of content?





Infographics:
This is simply the representation of information,data or statistics through picture this is intended to create swift understanding while passing the information.
They can exist as chats, graphics etc
Content marketing via info graphics

Video:
This is a movable graphical representations of scene this involves recorded voice notes as a means of explanation and form of expression.
Example includes the one below

Storytelling:
This is a form of content marketing that makes use of  invented stories or real stories lines, aimed at impacting on the listener positively
Ebook: This are digital format of book which is been read via a media application

Psychology of customers/audience





Content marketing is all about passing out your piece of information, knowledge with the aim of solving a problem and getting conversions.
Getting the expected result/ conversion of your content marketing is based on the psychology of your audience.

As a content marketer, you are to focus on:
knowing your audiences there likes and Build trust by adding value
Note:
  1. Nobody will take you seriously until they know you’re serious.
  2. Nobody will buy from you until they know you know what you’re selling.
  3. Nobody will take you seriously without a track record.
  4. Nobody will patronise you until they trust you.


INGREDIENTS THAT MAKES UP A QUALITY CONTENT





So, what are the ingredients that makes up a quality content





  • Title

  • Heading are title tags or captions that gives an overall summary of the subject matter that is been discussed. They can exist as phrases, sentence or a single word.

    Your heading must be neck pulling Your first line is as important as the whole content.
    In a busy world, people don't have time They need something that is self descriptive and goes straight forward to solving their problems. Your heading does that perfectly
    example of Heading ideas "Is Jesus a Christian? " "I hate money" - Newspaper headline. -Trending news Tiger Woods left the woods etc






  • Body

  • This contains the detailed information of your heading. It's the importance or meaning of the header/ title. It answers the thoughts/ assumptions of your audience.







  • Conclusion

  • This segment is what you use to tell the benefit of your products etc and give reasons why your audience should listen and adhere to your content, create a funnel etc

    There’s a way we think and react to issues as humans, which is the same as contents. We are emotional beings and we only respond to certain patterns and rules.
     Nobody cares about you until they know how much you care. People will not read your content or buy from you until you first appeal to their emotions and offer value.
    Why must I  follow you?
    Why must I buy your product?
    Why must I listen to you?
    Why must I watch your video?

    You must be constantly answering these questions with your content
    Are you getting it now? Your content must connect with their emotions Whenever you are creating an offer, this must be put into consideration You must be intentional with your content there must be a reason for creating a content
